One of my favorite events in NY is the NYC Marathon, which takes place annually on the first Sunday of November. It’s the largest marathon in the world with 42.195 km (26.2 miles) course that runs through all five boroughs of New York City.
It is a spectacular event that attracts not only tens of thousands of professional competitors and amateur runners, but also spectators from all over the world, as the entire city and its 5 boroughs turn into a giant block party.
More importantly, it is an event that brings together people from all walks of life in celebration of the human strength and perseverance.
